So... Been super super busy lately with work church, my class, and my kiddo. It sometimes seems like I'm trying to be exactly what everyone needs me to be... but I don't have the slightest clue how to slow it down.... Kind of scary really! Anyway, this weekend is The weekend in remembrance my savior.... over 2000 years ago tomorrow, Jesus will have bled and died for the sins of not just me, But everyone...
even those who we might feel don't deserve to be forgiven. The thing of it is, that so many people take for granted just how much Jesus suffered for you and I. The bible says that the wages of sin is death... That means that we'd be in pretty big trouble. You see, we as humans have gotten so used to just say "I'm Sorry" when we screw up, and everything is fine... Not the case here... We sin so often without realizing just how much we add on to the list of sins we commit... Sad part is, is
that the worst ones, are the ones that man commits the most...Lust, with all that has changed with society, we have really all been guilty of that, greed, We are never satisfied, and always want more, and our Pride can be bad enough to destroy much more than yourself. And as far as lying goes... We really run way outta left field with that one, because so many lie so much that it becomes like protocol, and they don't even realize that they're doing it.... So lets just say that Jesus never
died, and we would all have to pay the wage for the sin we commit... What do you say??!?!.. "Oh Uh, just put it on my tab...." It's like someone saying " Hey let's go eat, and they say "No worries, we got the bill, " without hesitation you would start looking at the menu for whatever caught your eye with no regard to the cost... Now if the situation were the opposite and they said "Let's go eat, but were all going dutch... You know that 9 times out of 10, you'd be a lot more conscious of
what you stacked onto your bill...Therefore, If we all had to suffer the consequences for the wrongs we do, would we still do it as much, if at all?... We always take things for granted, when the expense is not ours. It's done, He did die, and now it's simple enough to repent, and still have the opportunity to spend eternity out of flames. If that isn't love, then I don't know what is. To die for someone who has desecrated your name is something that is simply unfathomable. I
don't know about you, but I ain't ready to give up my life for some regular Joe on the street.....But he was... Who am I that this King should die for me? Who am I that God would look on me with love, enough to take away all the wrongs that I've done?...There have actually been studies, and the suffering that occurred on that day was to a degree that to this day has never surpassed in human history. Think about it. So often we take for granted the fact that we are no longer damned for our
sins... Don't get it twisted though, we will be held accountable for what we've done, only now we have the opportunity to repent. Many times we feel unworthy of love at all, let alone a love as great as the one God showed. Or worse, you feel like it's too late, and that the things you've done are so wrong, that there is no way even God would forgive you. Truth is, he can forgive you, he already has. Then it's just up to you to forgive yourself. You see even up until the moment he died,
Jesus prayed for those who persecuted him! The very men who put him to death, Jesus asked the awesome father to forgive!!! How much more will he forgive you!?! It's not too late to be forgiven for whatever wrongs you may be guilty of. Ask, and it will be given to you, seek, and you shall find, knock, and the door will be answered!...All you have to do is ask. The ball is in your court now. And although this weekend you may be out and about with the egg hunts,and baskets, don't forget
why we celebrate Easter..... Be mindful of what has been given for you.... and continuously try to live the very best that you can. As Jesus would!. Granted we are no where near as perfect as He, but hey, when your hearts in the right place, and you actually WANT to, that's a start!
