Trials....

So this morning I'm going to get breakfast, and I hear a couple inside the restaurant In a dispute about their finances, and it immediately brought my attention to a verse from the bible that majority of us are familiar with: Matthew 6:34.. " Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself, Each day has enough trouble of it's own." I immediately realized that sooo many of us stress over the smallest of circumstance.... And the bigger ones as well. Of course something like the loss of a job is enough to make anyone stress! I mean, come on, we're only human right?... but that's when faith comes in... We need to trust that even though we may not have a solution to every single mishap that life throws 0ur way, God will not fail to see us through it! When you go through something that makes you ask "Why me?" ask yourself "Why not me...." The bible says that God will NEVER give us more than we can handle!... And that tells me that if I have to go through something to get somewhere better, then I go through it with the mentality that there is something far better on the other side. I've discovered that God does not CAUSE bad things to happen, but he does allow painful and unjust experiences to occur so that ultimately, we can be better somehow from it. Jesus said:"" Do not worry about your life, or what you will eat or drink..... Look at the birds in the air, they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them, Are you not much more important than they? .... Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life???""... When I see words like these, I remember that If God loves me enough to send his son to die and suffer for my sin, Why should it be so hard to trust him to see me through the difficult times... Too often we seek God only when we have an issue come up that we can't handle on our own. Basically, we only pray when it suits out benefit, and we need something. This is the opposite of how it should be. We should praise and seek God no matter what the situation. Life is hard, and I'll be the first to say that it is far from easy... but if we stress and worry about things we should trust in God for, what good are we doing ourselves?.... So even though we as humans like to know and have handy a solution to all life's curve-balls, maybe the best thing to do, is just get out of the way, and let God be God! ... In closing, I say to anyone dealing with what they feel is more than they can handle: If you're going through what you're going through, give thanks to God for that!... Obviously, he selected you to have to trials, because he knows that you, are able to handle it! And that says a lot for who you are as a person. People who never go through anything, really have no idea of the sweet feeling that lies on the other side of a difficult circumstance... So take a deep breath, Give thanks that God knows you can handle it, and know that you are never walking alone Keep going, and don't slow down. Face whatever fire you gotta go through, and you'll emerge far better from it!... Stay in faith a little longer, and the reward will be great! XOXO ~ C
